This is a maximum security prison called Southern Ohio Correctional Facility (S.O.C.F.), more commonly known as "Lucasville" cuz it's in the town of Lucasville, in Scioto County. At present it's Ohio's only maximum security prison, and up until the beginning of 1995, they did house all Death Row guys here, but after the riot they were transferred to Mansfield Correctional (Medium/Close Security) in a special lock-down section there. The electric chair is still here, and whenever they eventually decide to execute someone else again, they'll bring 'em back down here to do it.

Yes, honey violence is all to common in this prison, sad to say, and that is my greatest fear. There was a riot here in '93 which lasted 11 days. Ten inmates and one guard were killed during that. I still fear being raped, but not so much here cuz it's now one person cells - which are real small (6' x 9'). Most of the time I'd rather have a cellie (cell mate) if he or "she" was cool cuz I get lonely.
